Introduction to the topic

本模块以爱好为话题,围绕爱好展开听、说、读、写活动。爱好这一话题接近学生的生活,有利于真实性任务活动的开展,便于设计情景和问题。

本课是外研社《新标准》初二年级下册第六模块第二单元,其中心话题是“谈论爱好”,功能是通过对David爱好的学习,会谈论自己和同学的爱好。

第二单元是一篇阅读文章,文章围绕谈论爱好展开,包括爱好的好处,爱好开始的时间,对爱好的喜爱程度,爱好给David带来的好处。其中涉及到介绍自己爱好的句型My hobby is…, 描述爱好的句型It’s…, 以及介绍自己爱好可以借鉴的文章结构----总分,及短语为:as well as, come out, as a result, such as等。

学生在第一单元中已经接触爱好collections,并了解了其带给人们的意义,容易进入本课的深入学习。

Information about the students

八年级学生英语学习方面已存在很大的差距,虽然具有了一定的英语听说读写技能,但英语学习能力参差不齐,低起点学习较容易。学生们对于班内同学有了一定的了解,也渴望更加深入地了解自己的同学,但对于爱好的认识在课前的调查中显得不尽人意,有很多同学没有爱好,还有的同学爱好是睡觉等,因此学生的爱好培养、对爱好重要性的认识值得我们引领。

学生在Module 6 Unit 1的学习中,熟知了collection这种爱好,也了解了一点爱好的好处,并且在小学六年级学过一些有关描述爱好的句式,如:My hobby is ….I’m interested in … 等,这有利于本课爱好的学习。

大部分同学的阅读能力需要再提高,而且学生的写作能力很差,很多同学在写作时无话可说,不能好好利用课本文章帮助自己写作。

1.      Say the activities according to the pictures , learn to describe it and find which one is own favourite.

运用猜测游戏,激发学生的兴趣和细心观察能力,引导学生对爱好展开讨论,并会简单评述,引起对文章的好奇心,为阅读做铺垫。

速读,获取主要信息,锻炼学生的快读和分析能力,并让学生明确文章结构,在自己的爱好写作时可以借用。

4. 2nd reading-----Careful reading

Ask the students to read the passage carefully, and answer the questions.

 

1. Read paragraph 1and answer the questions.

5.3rd reading---Enjoy reading

Play the tape  and ask the students to read the passage loudly according to the explaining, at the same time  find the difficulties and help them understand the passage.

1. Listen to the tape and try to read after it.

2. Read by themselves and find the difficulties, then try to solve them.

学生大声朗读课文,以便更加详细地了解文章内容,并发现疑难点在小组内或老师的帮助下解决问题,培养学生的合作解决问题的能力。

  学生明确爱好带给人们的好处,发现爱好对自己英语学习的帮助作用,并有意识地去做。

 

7.Post-reading---Writing:

Ask the students to write their friends’ hobbies, first talk in groups then write by themselves.

 

 

1.Talk the following questions in groups before writing.

2.Write their friends’ hobbies after the teacher’s model and show passages before the whole class.

鼓励学生更好地了解同学,乐于讨论问题,把本课学习的内容学以致用。

教学反思:1、本课的主要内容是介绍戴维的爱好,通过本节课的学习学生对戴维的爱好有所了解,并且学会用英语介绍同学的爱好/2、本次课堂利用小组比赛和互助合作,让学生能积极地参与到教学活动中来,学会本节课的难点,达到本节课的教学目标。3、部分学生有点紧张,在回答问题时声音不很洪亮,部分学生不敢举手,有的学生说英语时有语法错误。在今后要加强对学生的自信教育,多给他们说英语的机会,鼓励学生用英语进行交流,大胆回答问题。4、部分学生血案完成的不好,错误较多,我会指导英语学习的组长对他们做好帮助,共同提高。
