| Introduction to the topic | 本模块以爱好为话题，围绕爱好展开听、说、读、写活动。爱好这一话题接近学生的生活，有利于真实性任务活动的开展，便于设计情景和问题。 本课是外研社《新标准》初二年级下册第六模块第二单元，其中心话题是“谈论爱好”，功能是通过对David爱好的学习，会谈论自己和同学的爱好。 第二单元是一篇阅读文章，文章围绕谈论爱好展开，包括爱好的好处，爱好开始的时间，对爱好的喜爱程度，爱好给David带来的好处。其中涉及到介绍自己爱好的句型My hobby is…， 描述爱好的句型It’s…， 以及介绍自己爱好可以借鉴的文章结构----总分，及短语为：as well as, come out, as a result, such as等。 学生在第一单元中已经接触爱好collections，并了解了其带给人们的意义，容易进入本课的深入学习。 |
| Information about the students | 八年级学生英语学习方面已存在很大的差距，虽然具有了一定的英语听说读写技能，但英语学习能力参差不齐，低起点学习较容易。学生们对于班内同学有了一定的了解，也渴望更加深入地了解自己的同学，但对于爱好的认识在课前的调查中显得不尽人意，有很多同学没有爱好，还有的同学爱好是睡觉等，因此学生的爱好培养、对爱好重要性的认识值得我们引领。 学生在Module 6 Unit 1的学习中，熟知了collection这种爱好，也了解了一点爱好的好处，并且在小学六年级学过一些有关描述爱好的句式，如：My hobby is ….I’m interested in … 等，这有利于本课爱好的学习。 大部分同学的阅读能力需要再提高，而且学生的写作能力很差，很多同学在写作时无话可说，不能好好利用课本文章帮助自己写作。 |
