Unit 12 What did you do last weekend (Section B1a~1e）
一.Teaching aims:
1.To teach students to learn some phrases about activities.
2.To teach students to learn to talk about past events using The past simple tense.
二.Key teaching emphasis:
1. sing and play the guitar, study for a test, have dinner with friends, go to the library, fly a kite, swimming pool.
2. The past simple irregular verbs: sang, went, flew, had, swam.
3. Did you do anything interesting last weekend --Not really, but I visited my sister.

三.Teaching procedure:
Step 1: Warming-up and revision（5mins）
(1)Daily greetings to the students.
(2)Warming-up: Free talk: Describe what you did on your last weekend.
(3) Revision：T: What did you do this Wednesday/ Thursday/Friday
S1：I did homework at home.
T: What about you
S2: I went boating with my friends.
Ask as many as students about what they did on their weekends. Help students to review some phrases and make sure the students understand the simple past tense.
