If they [say]/(consider) (2) it is about robots, tell them they have [done well]/worked well) (3). Second, (1) say to [them]/(the class) (4), “Please look at the picture on this page. What can you see []/(in it) (5)? How many robots [are there]/(can you see) (6)? What are they busy doing?” Let one or two students describe the picture to the class. Pay attention to their English grammar when they are expressing their [opinions]/(opinion)(7).

Notes:[]: proposed change (): original

1.      “First” and “Second”, when used as Adverbs, should be separated from the following words by commas. Otherwise “First” and “Second”, which can be Adjectives, modify the following words “read” and “say” to become “First read” and “Second say”.

2.      “Say” means “express in words”, which is better than “consider” which is “think carefully”.

3.      In this context, “done well” is something completed, which is preferred to “work well” which is still ongoing.

4.      The group has been referred to as “the students” above. It would cause confusion if another ex*pression “the class” is introduced in referring to the same students. Simply using the Pronoun “them” is fine.

5.      “In it” here is redundant. Simply delete it.

6.      Use “are there” instead of “can you see”.

7.      The Noun “opinion” should be pluralized to become “opinions”.

Original article:First read the title aloud to the students, and then ask them what they think the article is about. If they consider it is about robots, tell them they have worked well. Second say to the class, “Please look at the picture on this page. What can you see in it? How many robots can you see? What are they busy doing?” Let one or two students describe the picture to the class. Pay attention to their English grammar when they are expressing their opinion.
