students, then let them guess the topic word of this
song.

Teacher invites students to give some examples
about “friendship”.

Students have a short discussion with their
partners and answer teacher’s question, they can give brief
introduction about some friends.

Pre-reading: in this step, students will know that
one cannot have a friend all the time, and some time they will be
lonely.

Teacher asks students to read the material twice.
After reading it, teacher shows some questions and asks students to
answer them.

After the first reading (fast reading), students
answer the first two question. After the careful reading, they will
do the following exercises.

understanding on the paragraph and improve their skills of reading
for specific information.

|
Teacher guides students to review the whole
passage, and gives students 5 minutes to talk about their view on
Anne’s diary. After discussion, teacher will invite three students
to give a brief presentation.

Students will talk with his/her partner. They will
give their own feelings on this Anne’s diary. And about three
students will get the chance to give a short speech in the front of
the class.

familiar with the way Anne uses to express herself.

performance, and assigns homework.

Students will take notes and write down the
